
Formed in March 1999, the Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a group
of young adults who have experience with a variety of
diagnoses, that provides education and support to Children's
Mercy patients, family and staff.
The purpose of TAB
- To provide Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics with a
patient advisory board representing various ages, backgrounds and
communities.
- To provide an opportunity for a representative group of
patients to express concerns, ideas and suggestions.
- To have Children's Mercy staff representatives listen and
advocate for the TAB.
- To provide direct patient feedback to the Children's Mercy
Hospitals and Clinics' executive vice president and co-chief
operating officer.
