Mission

The Accessibility & Rehab Patient Family Advisory Council will work in partnership with Children’s Mercy staff members to advocate on behalf of patients and families for the best quality of care. The council will collaboratively work to improve the accessibility for patients and families hospital-wide and to advocate for improvements to the Rehabilitation Medicine clinics.

The Accessibility & Rehab PFAC includes parents and former patients from the Spinal Differences Clinic, the Muscle and Nerve Clinic, and the general Rehabilitation Medicine population.

Parents Offering Parent Support (POPS)

Children's Mercy offers a program called Parents Offering Parent Support (POPS), a network of trained parent volunteers who mentor other parents through the challenges of their child's health condition.
