Information for Foreign Nationals

United States customary units are a system of measurements commonly used in the United States. In the United States, length is measured by the inch, foot, yard and mile; weight is measured by the pound,  temperature is measured by degrees Fahrenheit and capacity is measured by ounce, cup, pint, quart and gallon. Note: U.S. medical institutions, Children’s Mercy among them, use the metric measurement system common around the globe.
