Cancer Center Auxiliary

The Children's Mercy Cancer Center Auxiliary generates funding to improve the physical and emotional well being of children with cancer and blood disorders, as well as their families.

This auxiliary of Children's Mercy Kansas City raises money to support a parent-to-parent volunteer program, two psychologists, and a fellowship research. Funds also go toward patient activities, and two parent rooms at the hospital.

About the Auxiliary

Children’s Mercy Cancer Center provides financial and volunteer support to address the needs of children with cancer and blood disorders and their families at Children’s Mercy. This includes psychosocial support, research, education, and quality of care.

Other Services Supported through Grants

  • Child Life services dedicated to hematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplantation patients
  • Teenapalooza – fun activities for adolescents/teens with cancer and blood disorders
  • BMT token economy
