A student-athlete is more than muscles, bones and joints that come together in coordinated motion to perform. They are a thinker, a feeler, a friend, a teammate—a whole person.
Children’s Mercy provides a variety of sports performance services to enhance all aspects of a student-athlete’s health. From sports nutrition to mental health to injury prevention, we help your athlete find wellness and balance as they pursue their athletic dreams.
This six-week conditioning program focuses on agility, landing mechanics and strengthening of the lower extremity. The program is operated by athletic trainers and sports physical therapists and overseen by a Children’s Mercy sports medicine physician.
Children’s Mercy offers a team of sports medicine mental health professionals to help student-athletes cope with the emotional challenges of participating in sports, whether they’re at the top of their game or recovering from an injury.
Sports physical therapy helps student-athletes recover from sports-related injuries. Our expert physical therapists are trained to meet your child’s needs from middle school through their college career.
Children’s Mercy can help your student-athlete be at their best as they strive for improved sports performance. Our state-of-the-art facilities at Children's Mercy Village West and Children's Mercy Blue Valley provide a wide range of resources to help student-athletes increase their speed, strength and agility through performance conditioning.
