Meet an Ambassador

I remember when I woke up from a biopsy five years ago. My friends and family were all around me. Everyone was crying.

I learned that I had Ewing’s sarcoma on my left leg. That’s a rare cancer found in bone and soft tissue. Because of the people like you who support Children’s Mercy, I was able to have surgery and the chemotherapy I needed to stop the cancer from spreading.

I absolutely loved my doctors. But I really connected with my nurses. They changed the trajectory of my life. They inspired me so much, I decided to become a nurse.

I am going to help other kids like me!
