If your child is a new patient or a patient returning to our
office for allergy skin testing, please discontinue all
antihistamine medications at least 10 days prior to the
visit.
If your child also has asthma, do not discontinue any of
their asthma medications; asthma medications do not interfere
with skin testing.
Please notify your primary physician's office with your
appointment date and time so that they can be sure to provide faxed
lab work, X-ray reports or specific reasons that your doctor wanted
your child to see an allergist or asthma doctor. (If your doctor
prefers sending the records with you, please pick them up and bring
them to the appointment.)
If your child has been seen by another specialist for a similar
problem, a copy of those records would be helpful as well.
If you have any questions before your allergy appointment,
