Volunteer

Volunteers are an essential part of of the team at Children's Mercy. Our volunteers provide support in a variety of hospital areas and perform services that greatly enhance the hospital experience for our patients and families. 

Volunteer Programs

Adult Volunteer Program
Adult volunteers include working professionals and retirees who perform a variety of services within the hospital.

Note: Volunteer opportunities at our outlying locations are limited. Most of our volunteer openings are at the Adele Hall Campus. If you have questions in regard to this before applying please call our office 816-234-3496

College Student Volunteer Program 
We offer volunteer opportunities for college students with busy academic schedules.
Note: Volunteer opportunities are full for the school session 2014-2015. Information Sessions for Summer 2015 will be posted in January 2015. We will have a limited number of information sessions.  

High School Student Volunteer Program 
Students 15 and older can get involved in many volunteer activities throughout the hospital.

One-Time Group and Entertainment Volunteer Program
Entertainment opportunities are available to groups interested in one-time volunteer opportunities to help put smiles on our patients' faces.

P.A.V.E
This program creates specific volunteer opportunities for individuals with disabilities. 

Returning Adult and Student Volunteers

Our student program is full for the school session 2014-2015 so we are no longer accepting returning applications.  The Summer 2015 Student Volunteer returning forms are due March 1, 2015.  
We provide ongoing opportunities for those who have previous volunteer experience with Children's Mercy.
