Children’s Mercy specialists in the Division of Gastroenterology, the Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes and the Antimicrobial Stewardship Team developed guides on management of conditions including constipation, abnormal thyroid, abnormal menstrual patterns, short stature, pediatric obesity, and the thoughtful and targeted use of antibiotics.
These guides, developed with input from community pediatricians, are designed to give providers at-a-glance support for diagnosis and treatment of these conditions, as well as referral guidance. They also offer resources for providers to guide their prescription and use of antimicrobials in pediatric patients.
