Time off when you need it
Children's Mercy's time off benefits provide you with pay when you're unable to work.
A few of the time-off benefits available to non-faculty employees include (but are not limited to):
Paid Time Off (PTO), which pays if you are unable to work due to a personal reason, including a holiday, vacation, time off to care for a sick child or family member, or a personal short-term illness.
Extended Illness Time (EIT), which pays when you are unable to work due to a longer-term personal illness.
Family Pay (FP), which pays if you are unable to work because you need to care for an immediate family member with a serious medical condition or to bond with a new child.
Faculty have separate vacation and sick time programs, however, they’re eligible for FP.
