Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics' Critical Care Transport
Program, which began in 1971, is based on Children's Mercy
Hospital's main campus near downtown Kansas City, Mo.
The ground ambulances and
the helicopter are based at the main campus, and the
fixed-wing aircraft is hangered at the Charles B. Wheeler
Downtown Airport located three miles northwest of Children's

service provides transportation for
fixed-wing patient(s) to Children's Mercy Hospital.
Children's Mercy Critical Care
Transport provides support to physicians and health care facilities
throughout Missouri and Kansas, as well as nationally and
internationally. The transport team members are committed to
providing exceptional patient care and high-quality
neonatal/pediatric critical care transport.
