Children’s Mercy Hospital Kansas Expansion Plan

The future of CMHK is Built for Kids™

Growing together

In April 2025, Children’s Mercy Kansas City announced a $152 million expansion plan for Children’s Mercy Kansas in Overland Park, Kan. The four-year project will enhance patient care, introduce new clinical programs and give more families access to world-class care — closer to home.

  • More surgical capacity.
  • All outpatient services gathered in one new medical office building.
  • New programs, including Inpatient Rehabilitation, intensive outpatient programs, an expanded Pediatric Motility program and a Neuroscience Center of Excellence.
  • And more!

Know before you go

The
Tom Watson Emergency Center, 5805 W. 110th Street, is open and will stay open through the entire project.

We will continue to care for kids and families in our community during construction.
