Spinal stress fractures: Kyndall’s story

After 2 years of back pain and no progress, 14-year-old Kyndall’s mom started Googling “top spine doctors in the U.S.” Their search led them across the state to Children’s Mercy physician Dr. Aaron Shaw. In May, Kyndall had spine surgery (using a technique developed here) to help her stress fractures heal. This fall, she’s back to playing volleyball, and her back feels “amazing”!
