Michelle began her career at Children’s Mercy as director of Physician Services in March 1996. Before Children’s Mercy, Michelle worked at St. Francis Regional Medical Center (name has since changed to Via Christi Regional Medical Center) as the Manager of Physician Relations Department and previously, a Physician Relations Representative.
Before working in the Physician Relations department, Michelle worked in OB and Pediatrics and separately, Admissions and Education departments.
In Michelle’s role as director of Physician Services, she manages her department, meets with referring physicians, coordinates meetings with Children’s Mercy subspecialists and referring physicians, coordinates meetings between CMH Administration and referring hospital administrators, is involved in changes and/or additional outreach clinics within our service area. She also exhibits at national AAP and PAS meetings, assists in orienting new faculty at CMH as well as new pediatricians in the community, oversees an annual continuing education meeting in Joplin, MO and assists with all product line marketing efforts to referring physicians locally and regionally.
Michelle was born in Garden City, KS, where she graduated from Garden City H.S. Michelle attended Emporia State University where she received a BSB in 1983. After college, she began working at St. Francis Regional Medical Center and was there until the time she moved to Kansas City in 1996.
Michelle lives in Leawood, KS, along with her significant other, Rob Frazier. Together they live with Baxter, their cat and Ike, the family dog.
In her spare time, Michelle enjoys running, reading, traveling and entertaining.
