The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes at Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics is one of the largest full-service programs in the country. Our team is recognized for being at the forefront of diabetes prevention, treatment and research. Our team includes more than 15 pediatric endocrinologists and nearly 100 employees. Notable Accomplishments

  • Children's Mercy is home to the first pediatric diabetes program to be accredited by the American Diabetes Association.
  • Our unique Great Heights Turner Syndrome Clinic provides a comprehensive, multidisciplinary medical approach to for care girls with this condition throughout the region.
  • One of only a few in the country, our Thyroid Nodule and Carcinoma Clinic is utilizing a multidisciplinary approach for diagnosis, treatment and long-term management of thyroid nodules and differentiated carcinoma in pediatric patients.
  • Our physicians and scientists are conducting innovative research in diabetes prevention and its chronic complications; intersex issues and genetic imprinting; growth hormones; and islet transplantation survival and rejection.
