Donald H. Chisholm was a prominent Kansas City attorney and civic leader, known as “Mr. Hospital Hill” for his many contributions to health care in Kansas City. He served as Chair of the Central Governing Board at Children’s Mercy.

The Donald H. Chisholm Planned Giving Council was established in 1993. Members serve as an advisory committee and resource to the gift planning team at Children’s Mercy, provide local expertise and enhance the visibility of the hospital for philanthropy in the region.

The group engages a variety of local and regional professional advisors, including estate planning attorneys, CPAs, life insurance representatives and financial professionals.

Today, about 200 PGC members serve as community champions and have access to expertise and resources for gift planning conversations with donor/clients.

A working Executive Committee of 8-12 professional advisors meets quarterly to provide direct support, insights and suggestions for improving our gift planning efforts.

If you would like to refer someone to serve on the Planned Giving Council, please email us at giftplanning@cmh.edu.
