Advocate and Inspire as an Auxiliary Member
Some of our most dedicated Children’s Mercy supporters are members of an auxiliary. These volunteer leaders play a vital role in supporting our mission and help ensure we can continue to provide the best pediatric medical care in our region.
Through advocacy, philanthropy and volunteerism, an auxiliary is an important way to make a significant difference.

Learn About Children's Mercy Auxiliaries
Children's Mercy Cancer Center Auxiliary
Founded in 1987, the Children's Mercy Cancer Center Auxiliary provides financial and volunteer support for children with cancer and blood disorders, and their families.
Thanks to this dynamic group of leaders, the Department of Hematology, Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation has the resources needed for a robust music therapy program, space for parents to find peace and respite during their time at the hospital, toys and crafts for patients and breakthrough research projects.
Proceeds from the annual Holiday Hero Campaign, Lobsterfest and KC Cares for Kids Walk benefit the Cancer Center Auxiliary.
Children's Relief Association
Founded in 1922, the Children's Relief Association volunteers provide a cheerful, welcoming atmosphere for all Children's Mercy patients, guests and employees in the Gift Shops at the Children's Mercy Adele Hall Campus and Children’s Mercy Hospital Kansas.
Proceeds from the gift shops allow the auxiliary to make generous contributions each year. Past areas of support include nursing education, research and much needed pieces of equipment.
Hands & Hearts for Children Auxiliary
The Hands & Hearts for Children Auxiliary is a dynamic group of leaders dedicated to increasing awareness for the hospital through volunteerism and civic engagement.
The Auxiliary hosts and produces the annual Red Hot Night gala, held in February each year. In 2015, Red Hot Night raised more than $1 million to support children who receive care at Children's Mercy.
Founded in 2013, this vibrant group of young, civic-minded community leaders supports the mission of Children's Mercy through advocacy, volunteerism and fundraising.
Members show their commitment by volunteering, organizing fundraising events and advocating for Children’s Mercy through speaking engagements.
Alice Berry Graham Associates
The Alice Berry Graham Associates, named for one of Children’s Mercy’s founding sisters, raise critical funds needed to support the Children's Mercy Department of Pediatric Dentistry. Their efforts help provide educational resources to pediatric dental residents and funds to replace dental equipment.
Children's Mercy Century Club
Founded in 1922, this auxiliary has been raising funds to purchase equipment critically needed by Children's Mercy for more than 80 years!
The Century Club is responsible for collecting the coins tossed into the Country Club Plaza’s many fountains, as well as from donation canisters located in stores and restaurants throughout Kansas City. The auxiliary also hosts book sales and organizes craft fairs to support the hospital.
Over the years, proceeds collected from Plaza fountains and other Century Club fundraising activities have helped purchase equipment for the Children's Mercy Teen Clinic, a diagnostic microscope package for the ENT Clinic, rocking chairs and much more.
Maywood Mercy Hospital Club
Established in 1904, the Maywood Mercy Hospital Club is the oldest of the Children's Mercy auxiliaries.
Every year, Maywood members sell crafts and baby quilts to raise funds for the hospital. Past areas of support include Comfort Kits, infant scales and the Children's Mercy East facility.
