Collaborations

The Center for Pediatric Genomic Medicine works with many teams at Children's Mercy to provide faster diagnosis for a broad range of medical conditions. Our goal is to provide genomic analysis to support medical teams in providing the best possible care for pediatric patients.

We work with Children's Mercy endocrinologists to help quickly diagnose children with complex medical conditions such as hyperinsulinism and move them into appropriate treatment.

Our team works with gastroenterologists to investigate the genetic causes of gastroenterology disorders and move patients into appropriate treatment.

Genomic analysis is providing our hospital's cardiologists and cardiac surgeons insight into the genetic causes of congenital heart disease.

Our team is working with neonatologists to quickly diagnose children with complex medical conditions and provide the best possible care.

Nephrologists are working with our team to investigate the genetic causes of pediatric kidney disease.

Our center is working to better understand the genetic causes of cancer. We work with oncologists at Children's Mercy to translate genetic research into patient care.
