Attire

On your first day at Children's Mercy Orientation, you may wear scrubs or business casual - whatever makes you feel most comfortable. It can be chilly in the Auditorium where CMO is held, so you might consider bringing a jacket or sweater for extra warmth. At clinical orientation (the remainder of your training days), you may wear scrubs for all the training days. You will be on your feet for most of the sessions, so it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.

Lunch

Lunch will be provided free of charge by Children’s Mercy at CMO and on Tuesday of week 1 at clinical orientation. If you have dietary restrictions, you will receive instructions on how to notify the CMO team. Please let us know of those restrictions as well by contacting us at ClinicalOrientation@cmh.edu

You will need to bring your lunch for all the other training days, or we have food venue options where you can place your order. We also have access to a refrigerator, ice, and water at the Crown Center classroom

Employee Parking

Once you begin your role with your department, you will be assigned to a parking location, depending on your primary work location. Here's some information on various parking around the Adele campus.
