First Home Care Visit

Depending on the services provided for your child, a team member will arrive to your home at a scheduled date and time. It is important for the child’s parent or legal guardian to be present for the first visit which typically averages two hours. Our Home Care clinician will review necessary forms, review your child’s medication, complete a patient assessment and a home safety assessment. You will receive the Children’s Mercy Home Care Welcome Book at the first visit. The Welcome Book will give details about our services and helpful information about your child’s care.
