Small Local Business Supplier Program
The Children's Mercy Small Local Business Supplier Program is an organization-wide initiative meant to strengthen our supplier base and invest in our community.
Children’s Mercy is committed to providing equitable and exceptional health care for our community which includes seeking small local business vendors, including but not limited to businesses owned by women, people of color, veterans and/or LGBTQ. We seek business partners who have deep respect for and demonstrated expertise in advancing small local business vendors within the communities we represent and serve.
Our commitment to small local business brings financial, operational and cultural value to our organization. Children’s Mercy benefits from the expertise, innovation and flexibility of small businesses and from an open, competitive bidding process. In addition, the organization also benefits from a connected and growing local economy. Enabling equity of access and opportunity must be an active and strategic process. The Small Local Business Supplier Program works to build this process so that all vendors compete in an accessible and fair environment. We continually seek viable and small businesses that can help us achieve our goals of providing ever increasing value to our patients, their families, our clinicians and staff, while stimulating the economic viability of the community.
Children’s Mercy is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) organization which does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, creed, color, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, national origin, or the presence of any sensory, mental, or physical disability in consideration for a contract award.
