The Postdoctoral Psychology Fellowship Program at Children's Mercy provides intensive training to postdoctoral psychology graduates in psychological assessment, treatment, and interdisciplinary consultation and collaboration in the context of a dedicated pediatric academic health care environment. By providing the highest-quality supervision and training, the program aims to facilitate advanced clinical and professional skills to prepare postdoctoral fellows for successful careers as psychologists in his or her chosen setting.

The Clinical Child/Pediatric Psychology Internship Program at Children's Mercy provides intensive training to advanced-level doctoral psychology students in psychological assessment, treatment, and interdisciplinary collaboration in the context of a dedicated pediatric academic health environment. By providing the highest-quality supervision and training, the program aims to facilitate a well-balanced set of clinical and professional skills to prepare interns for successful careers as psychologists.

The Section of Psychology at Children’s Mercy offers practicum experiences in assessment and/or intervention for children, adolescents, and families within a pediatric setting. The practicum experience is a commitment for one academic year, approximately nine months in duration for one to two days each week. Positions may include clinical and research experiences, based on the supervisor’s needs and availability.
