The Pediatric Coagulation Medicine Fellowship at Children’s Mercy is a one year fellowship offered to applicants who have completed a three year pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship. Our fellowship highlights are:

  • A regional hemophilia treatment center

  • Customizable curriculum to accommodate fellows individual interests and backgrounds

  • Fellow participation in a quality improvement project

  • Participation in rural outreach clinics

The objectives of the fellowship are to provide training specific to pediatric coagulation disorders and expertise in the diagnosis and management of children with bleeding and thrombotic disorders. In addition, the fellowship offers experience in the specialized coagulation laboratory and participation in research focused on hemostasis and thrombosis. The fellowship curriculum will be customized to accommodate the individual interests and background of the fellowship applicant.
