Children’s Mercy provides the highest level of complex emergency care to children across the area through two emergency rooms and the region’s only Level I pediatric trauma center and Emergency Mental Health Crisis Center. More than 90 pediatric emergency medicine specialists and surgeons on staff are ready to care for your child. Services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If your need is more urgent, please call 911.

Please note: the entrance to the emergency room is located on the east side of the hospital, off Holmes Road.

Emergency Department Parking Information

Due to temporary parking impacts near our Adele Hall Emergency Department (downtown), parking closest to the entrance may be limited.

If your child is sick, has mobility needs, or requires assistance getting to the Emergency Department, families may briefly use the Emergency Department circle drive to help their child safely enter the hospital.

To keep the circle drive available for patients and families who need immediate access to emergency care, vehicles should not remain unattended or parked in this area. Once your child has been safely escorted into the Emergency Department and checked in, drivers should move their vehicle to the Main Parking Garage.

Please allow a few extra minutes for arrival and parking. Thank you for your patience and partnership as we work to maintain safe and accessible access for all patients and families.



Parking at Children's Mercy Kansas

At Children’s Mercy Kansas, we’ve made it even easier for families to park. Lot A is now for visitors only and Lot C is for our healthcare workers. Emergency Department parking is available at Lots E and F. Signs and maps are available.

Children's Mercy Urgent Care provides care for children with minor injuries or illnesses that are not considered life threatening, but require prompt attention. We have three locations to serve you: Overland Park, East Kansas City and in the Northland.
