Children's Mercy Hospital is committed to providing an established, competitive and highly sought after child life practicum and accredited internship program offering comprehensive, competency based, and hands-on opportunities for students to develop clinical skills and build a solid foundation to begin a career in child life.
Students, educators, academic advisors, and community members are welcome to attend an informational session for those interested in learning about the field of child life.
A 16-week, 640 hour, comprehensive, competency based child life internship program at the undergraduate and graduate level.
An eight-week, 150-hour experience where students are given opportunities to observe and become familiar with the field of child life and the hospital setting.
