Institutional Biosafety Committee Meeting Minutes

The Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) at Children’s Mercy Research Institute oversees research involving potentially hazardous biological agents as well as recombinant and synthetic nucleic acid molecules in accordance with NIH Guidelines.

IBC meeting minutes are maintained to comply with all regulatory and guidance requirements. Following NIH’s March 28, 2025 Guide Notice, meeting minutes are posted after approval by the IBC and once all necessary and permissible redactions are made.

The NIH Guidelines apply only to research with recombinant or synthetic nucleic acids (r/sNA). Therefore, information related to activities not involving r/sNA will be redacted from the meeting minutes prior to posting on this website.  For further information, you may contact ibc@cmh.edu.
