Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine Fellowship

The Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship Training Program at Children's Mercy Kansas City provides an environment in which trainees receive the highest quality of education in the scientific approach and clinical skills acquisition for the effective delivery of health care.

Academic and Clinical Training

This program endeavors to equip trainees with the skills and attitudes required to be life-long learners, effective teachers of families and other members of the health care team and productive members of the larger community.

Clinical Experience

Clinical training is provided in two neonatal intensive care units at Children's Mercy and Truman Medical Center as well as a high-risk follow-up clinic at Children's Mercy. A wide range of opportunities exist for training and active participation in epidemiologic, pulmonary biology and translational research.
