SAFEGUARD: A study to see if the new study drug called SAB-142 is safe and helps people who have T1D.

This study is being done for patients: • Age: 12 years and older • Recent Diabetes type 1 diagnosis (within the last 100 days) People with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) do not have enough insulin. Insulin controls a type of sugar called glucose in the body. If the body has too much glucose, it can cause damage to it. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the new study drug, SAB-142, is safe and helps people with T1D. SAB-142 is not insulin and it will be given in addition to insulin treatments already prescribed.
