Urgent

Your referral needs to be processed within 48 hours or you wish to speak to a specialist.

*Every attempt will be made to respond to your call the same business day if received prior to 4 p.m.

 

Hematology: A benign blood disorder concern (not a malignancy/cancer) including blood clotting disorders.

Oncology: A possible or definite malignancy/cancer (including leukemias and lymphomas).

BMT: Known disorder being referred for transplant evaluation.

If unsure, choose one and the Hem/Onc provider will help determine best section.

Please call 1-800-GO-MERCY (466-3729) and request a consultation with the specialist on-call.

The Hematology Oncology provider on-call will call the referring provider to discuss the patient case if requested or there is additional information needed.

The Hematology Oncology clinic will contact the patient to schedule an appointment.

Scheduled and requested appointment status can be found on the Wednesday referral reports.

Non-urgent

Referrals will be processed within 2-3 business days.

Hematology: A benign blood disorder concern (not a malignancy/cancer) including blood clotting disorders.

Oncology:  A possible or definite malignancy/cancer (including leukemias and lymphomas).

BMT: Known disorder being referred for transplant evaluation.

If unsure, choose one and the Hem/Onc provider will help determine best section.

Complete the New Hem/Onc/BMT Patient Appointment Form. Please complete all fields. Referral cannot be processed with incomplete information.

Please attach relevant visit notes, patient records, labs and radiology results.

Conditions Treated

Hematology disorders such as hemophilia, hematological disorders and sickle cell disease; cancers; and a variety of disorders that require blood and marrow transplant.
