The Gastroenterology & Liver Clinic evaluates and treats patients from birth through 18 years of
age. When appropriate, we assist with transitioning patients to adult care providers.

Liver Conditions – these referrals should be referred to Hepatology/Liver

Elevated bilirubin
- Infants with elevated direct bilirubin levels are considered urgent referrals and should be marked accordingly.
Elevated liver enzymes
Enlarged liver (hepatomegaly)
Fatty liver disease
Genetic liver disease
Hepatitis, viral
Liver cysts
Liver lesions
- Patients with liver lesions are considered urgent referrals and should be marked
  accordingly.
Liver transplantation and post-transplant care

To help ensure timely evaluation and comprehensive care, please include all relevant medical records with every referral. Recommended documentation includes:

Most recent clinic notes
Laboratory results
Diagnostic testing orders and reports
Growth charts
Imaging reports
Medication lists
Any additional clinical information relevant to the patient's diagnosis or symptoms
