Diabetes Teen Girl Support Group
Teenage girls ages 12 and older with type 1 diabetes are invited to attend this free group. Patients participate in a psychosocial activity or discussion that focuses on coping strategies, caring for diabetes at home and school and amongst peers, managing stress and diabetes, and other adolescent specific topics. The group is led by Children's Mercy diabetes team social workers.
This group meets quarterly at Children's Mercy Broadway 3101 Broadway Blvd., 9th Floor.
