Diabetes Center Support Group
Parents, caregiver, and siblings of patients with type 1 diabetes are invited to attend this free group to gain support, knowledge and resources.
Patients and siblings participate in a group activity and are led through a discussion of their successes, worries, fears and coping strategies. Parents and caregivers participate in an adult group simultaneously where they can also discuss similar topics.
Dinner is served with RSVP. The group is hosted by Children's Mercy Diabetes Social Workers and the psychologist.
This group meets quarterly at Children's Mercy Broadway 3101 Broadway Blvd., 9th Floor.
