Pediatric Orthopaedics

Educational objectives: Professionalism of timeliness, proper patient interactions, professional relations and the medical interview. Develop physical examination screening skills of the musculoskeletal system in children. Basic understanding of orthopaedic disorders of children, including common variations, DDH, clubfoot, scoliosis, injuries. Develop basic skills in recognition of the common fractures in children, their complications and basic non-operative treatment. Work cooperatively with orthopaedic team on morning rounds, handoffs, conference, on call and in the or and clinic.

Criteria for honors: Outstanding performance on the clinical evaluation.
