Adolescent Medicine

Educational objectives: The Adolescent Medicine Rotation is a one-month experience in an outpatient, multidisciplinary clinic devoted entirely to adolescent health care. Students will learn the medical and psychosocial problems unique to teens. Interviewing skills will be developed and basic physical examination skills re-enforced.

Prerequisites: Completion of Core Pediatric Clerkship.

Description: Clinic is Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. 

Conferences are scheduled in the morning or at Noon throughout the month. A schedule will be given at orientation.

Thursday morning - CMH Grand Rounds. 

A school-based clinic experience may also be possible.

Criteria for passing: Satisfactory performance on the clinical evaluation.

Criteria for honors: Outstanding performance on the clinical evaluation.
