Healthy Homes Consumer and Family Workshops
The Healthy Homes workshops are one to four hours long and are designed to teach participants the healthy-homes home principles and best practices for maintaining a safe and healthy home for people and their families.
Community leaders, community members, Parent Teacher Organizations, community organizations.
What you'll learn
Participants will learn the connection between health and housing and how following the eight principles of healthy homes they can make their home the safest and healthiest it can be. Topics include how to deal with air quality, pests, moisture and mold, airborne chemicals, lead and lead-based paint, asbestos, and radon. The workshops are intended to be introductory and includes hands-on exercises.
