Bioethics Speaker Fund

Help us to raise funds for ongoing Bioethics education at Children’s Mercy!

In 2016, we started a fundraising campaign to create a Bioethics Speaker Fund in Pediatric Bioethics at Children’s Mercy. Our goal is to raise $25,000 over five years - and in our fourth year, we are very close, with less than $4,000 remaining to reach our goal.

The endowment will fund bioethics speakers. The funds will be used to invite a national (or international) leader in pediatric bioethics to give a Grand Rounds at Children’s Mercy, a Children’s Mercy Bioethics Center webinar, and other seminars on topics of interest.

The Grand Rounds would be made available on the Children’s Mercy website. The webinar would be available for free to those with a computer or mobile device. The webinars feature experts from across the globe.

Since 2012, more than 6,000 people have viewed and participated in our webinars. Your donation to this fund will help to establish the resources needed to support ongoing pediatric bioethics speakers at Children’s Mercy.

How to donate

Every donation to the Bioethics Speaker Fund makes a difference in furthering and sustaining bioethical education for pediatric professionals across the globe.

Funds raised to-date

In 2019 thus far, we have raised nearly $2,000 in total donations thanks to the generosity of colleagues around the world, including our certificate alumni. Now in the fourth year of our five-year campaign, we have raised a total of over $21,000, with sights on our five-year goal of $25,000.

Raising $4,000 will help us reach our endowment goal of $25,000.

Will you help us reach our goal?
