The Developmental and Behavioral Health program at Children's Mercy is one of the largest collaborative behavioral health programs of its kind in the country. Under one umbrella, we address the developmental, psychiatric, and psychological needs of children of all ages.
In the Robert and Karissa Alumbaugh Family Developmental and Behavioral Health program, we have an expert team of professionals ready to work with your child. Our staff includes licensed psychologists, developmental pediatricians, child and adolescent psychiatrists, clinical social workers, and a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
For children who are in the hospital and experiencing psychological effects associated with their chronic medical conditions, traumatic injury or experience, we have developed a focused consultation-liaison team of psychologists, psychiatrists, developmental pediatricians, and family therapists to address their unique needs.
Services we can offer to your child include:
Comprehensive Autism Spectrum Disorder evaluations
Developmental evaluation and monitoring
Psychosocial assessment and intervention for children with chronic and acute medical conditions
