December 2013 Provider Survey Response

In late 2012, we asked you to complete a survey to help us better understand how we can improve our services to you. We would like to thank you to all of you who took the time to share our opinions and suggestions.

We appreciate the positive comments many of you shared. Overall, you told us we were doing a good job with reporting lab results, presenting useful information about the hospital in a timely manner, and providing access to information regarding your patient’s outpatient care.

We equally value the areas you identified for how we can improve. We want you to be assured that we have reviewed and analyzed all the survey responses and we are working to address areas of concern.

Based on your responses, we identified two key areas of opportunity:

• Improve access for clinic appointments
• Improve communication regarding your patients

We have shared the survey results with our staff and developed work teams to address the issues raised in the survey. These changes may take some time to fully implement, but please be assured we are committed to doing what it takes to improve our service to you and your patients.

In addition, Dr. Fred Hall, has taken a leadership role in helping us better listen and respond to physician concerns. Dr. Hall has been active in leading and participating in our work teams addressing provider service concerns. You can expect to hear more from Dr. Hall in the future as we communicate our progress on access, communication and other issues.

Like you, our focus is always on delivering the best care possible to patients and their families. Our goal is to partner with you to provide that care, knowing that the best care can only be provided when we are truly working together on behalf of patients.
