How to Apply

Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship

Fellow applicants must be completing or completed a residency at an accredited Pediatric Residency Program in the United States.

The Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program is under the institutional sponsorship of Children’s Mercy. The Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program began in 2000 and is fully accredited by the ACGME. We support the pursuit of advanced degrees, such as MPH; Master in Clinical Research, MS in Bioinformatics; Master in Education; or MBA during fellowship training.

Prospective candidates for the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program should apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). The program also participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Application requirements are available through the ERAS system. We accept one fellow each year.

Children's Mercy accepts applicants with J-1 Visa status. Applicants must have participated in a US ACGME accredited residency program and be sponsored by the ECFMG for the J-1 non-immigrant Visa classification and have and maintain valid ECFMG certification throughout the length of their training program. In some cases, Children's Mercy will sponsor an H-1B Visa. Please contact GME if you have further questions.

Thank you for your interest in the Children's Mercy Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program.
