for Statistical Evidence (October 5, 2006). The International Journal of
Epidemiology published a review of my book, Statistical Evidence in Medical
Trials, in their September 15, 2006 issue. You need to be a subscriber or pay
for access, but you can find an excerpt at ije.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/content/extract/35/5/1368.
Stats: Sales figures for Statistical
Evidence in Medical Trials (August 2, 2006). I get twice yearly data on
sales, and the first of these arrived today. I've sold 230 copies, which is
not bad for a short time frame.
Stats: Using a web site to promote
your book (May 10, 2006). Someone on the MedStats email discussion group
asked about how you use a web page to provide things like supplemental
chapters, expanded tables of critical values, practice tests, case studies
etc. Gee, what a coincidence. That's what I am hoping to do at my Stats:
Statistical Evidence in Medical Trials web page.
Stats: Update on my book,
Statistical Evidence in Medical Trials (February 28, 2006). Although I
was expecting my book to appear sometime in February, a quick search of the
Internet shows that March 31, 2006 may be a more realistic publication date.
I have an ISBN for the book (0198567618) and there is a limited amount of
information at the BookFinder4U site, as well as at Amazon and Barnes &
Noble.
Stats: First peek at the cover of my
new book (January 12, 2006). Oxford University Press (OUP) just sent me
the first draft of the jacket and cover of the book I am writing, Statistical
