International Elective Rotations

The Pediatric Residents at Children's Mercy Hospital have the opportunity to travel internationally to experience the practice of medicine in other countries. The experiences of our residents have been rewarding and enlightening. Recently, residents have travelled to destinations including Peru and South Africa, and this year, there are planned rotations to multiple destinations including Milawi. Children’s Mercy faculty has also begun to foster a relationship with a children’s hospital in Panama City, Panama in hopes of further encouraging international medical experiences and education.Stipends are available for travel related expenses.
