Record Breaking Month
Both our Critical Care Transport Team and our Emergency Department/Urgent Care Centers set new records in September. The Transport Team did 420 neonatal and pediatric transports, compared to a normal monthly average of about 350.
The Children's Mercy Hospital Emergency Department and urgent care centers at Children's Mercy South and Children's Mercy Northland saw a combined total of 15,253 patients. The previous record was set in February 2008, when our Emergency Department had a combined total of 14,237 patient visits.
