The Department of Managed Care plays
an integral role to meet that goal by striving to ensure that
Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics participates in every
managed care plan within the region and by maintaining strong
relationships with all payor sources.
Our primary responsibilities include:
- Administer contracts for health insurance plans
- Build and maintain relationships with health insurance
plans
- Administer contractual performance evaluations
- Respond to health care delivery issues and concerns
- Communicate contractual changes and industry news
Location
We are located at 2420 Pershing Road, Suite 300 in Kansas
City, Mo., at the corner of Pershing and Grand in the Crown Center

Parking
Visitor parking is available in the Crown Center parking garage on
the south side of Pershing Road at McGee (just east of the Grand
Boulevard intersection). Once you enter the garage,
please park in the marked visitor spaces. You may enter
our building using the 2420 Pershing elevators located in the NE
corner of the parking garage. Upon entry you will receive
a green parking permit. Please keep this permit with
you so it can be validated by our
staff before exiting the garage.
