Pediatric Residency Program
US Medical School Graduates
How to Apply
The Children’s Mercy Hospital Pediatric Residency Program is sponsored by the University
of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. Each year, we appoint approximately 24
Categorical Pediatrics Residents and 6 Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Residents through the
National Residency Matching Program.
Our program participates in ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service) and is listed under the University of Missouri at Kansas City. Three letters of recomendation from medical school faculty are required. The deadline for applications is December 1st.
Interviews
Interviews provide the opportunity for candidates not only to meet our staff, but tour our
excellent facilities and interact with current residents. Interviews are generally held from
November to February. Children’s Mercy will arrange and pay for accomodations for one night
at a local hotel. The evening before your interview, we also invite you to join a group of
our residents for dinner in one of Kansas City’s numerous entertainment districts.
