Post-trauma training

The profound impact violent events have on children's mental health is undeniable, potentially causing lasting trauma. For months to come, it’s likely some of our community’s children will show signs and symptoms of post-traumatic stress reaction related to KC’s parade violence as well as everyday trauma. With your strong knowledge and community influence, we can work together to improve mental health outcomes now and in the future.

Children’s Mercy has made an extraordinary commitment to build a pediatric bioethics center. We are working with clinicians and families to identify ethical dilemmas and respond to them. We are teaching others through through the nation’s first certificate program in pediatric bioethics.

Children's Mercy Critical Care Transport is the only 24-hour a day, seven day a week transport program in the region dedicated exclusively to neonates, children and adolescents.
