The Volunteer Advisory Council (VAC) is involved in many activities that benefit Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics. Volunteers may be nominated, invited or simply indicate interest in being a part of this group. VAC provides support in the following ways:

• Advice and Consultation Committee (Generic Picture of Advising)
• Members often see an opportunity to improve volunteer programs or training. Volunteer Services values their insight in helping us bring he best volunteer experience to our volunteers, as well as the patients and families we serve.
• Advocacy Committee (Generic Picture of Advocacy)
• Members represent Children's Mercy at  corporate and community events, thanking and educating donors about the services provided by the hospital.
• Fundraising Committee (Generic Picture of Fundraising)
• VAC sponsors special events at Children's Mercy to raise funds for specific hospital needs.
