
The Weight Management Program addresses childhood obesity prevention and treatment on multiple levels, including individual, family and community. The Program provides an opportunity for obese (defined as a Body Mass Index-BMI-greater than or equal to 95th percentile for age and sex) children and teens, ages 2 – 17 years to received specialized serviced to achieve a healthier weight. These services include evidence-based nutrition and physical activity interventions for the entire family in order to assist families in adopting and maintaining a healthier way of life.
