"Integrative” Medicine is combination treatment using Traditional, Complementary and Alternative Medicine. This treatment combines the practices that are in the best interest of the patient and that help the body’s natural healing process.
A child’s body is not the same as an adult’s body. It will react in different ways to drugs, herbal products and other therapies.
Tell your child’s doctor or other healthcare providers, if you are considering or using any alternative or complementary therapies. This information is needed by your doctors, nurses and pharmacists to make sure your child’s entire treatment plan is safe and effective.
