The Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics' Liver Care Center is one of only a few comprehensive treatment and research centers nationwide dedicated exclusively to pediatric liver care.

The Liver Care Center brings together pediatric clinical and research expertise in gastroenterology, general and thoracic surgery, critical-care medicine, hepatology, nursing, pharmacology and radiology to offer a more integrated, comprehensive approach to liver disease for children from birth to age 21.
