What to expect at your appointment

How long will my appointment be?

There is no set amount of time for the appointment, but it may take 2-3 hours. It varies from person to person.

How many specialists will my child see?

This is all dependent on the condition your child presents with. It may involved several departments within the cinic.

What is the purpose for seeing many doctors in one day?

Due to the complex nature of DSD's it takes many disciplines to come up with a plan of care specific to your child. On a day to day basis they do not work in the same department. In order to get them all together on the same day to decrease the need for multiple visits at several locations, it is all done during our clinic.

Will labs need to be done on the day of my appointment?

Yes, lab work may need to be done. This is also an individual basis and dependent on the plan of care.
